I wrote this last year, but still have more to say. I have had so many conversations with people about the difference between the two types of people, and I have also learned much from them. I wrote this blog last year because I have so many ideas for this blog, that I felt it was necessary to put it out there for all of you to read.
These are the two types of people I would like to see in this world. The first is the type you hear lots about and love, the type I call the “hacker”. These are the people who set up hacking sites, and are often obsessed by finding and fixing bugs in popular websites. They are the ones who are constantly on the hunt for ways to improve their favorite websites. Unfortunately, most hackers tend to be male.
The second type of person, the one I would like to see in this world is the person who reads this blog, and is trying to figure out why it’s in my face. The person who is trying to find the truth of my existence, and who believes that it’s up to me to fix the world, and not to them. These are the people that are actually interested in making things better.
We like to call this the “Brendan Morais Effect.” Brendan is our favorite hacker and the one who is always looking for ways to improve websites. In many ways, he would be good for this world, but would most likely also be a jerk. Pieper is our favorite hero, and our hero’s favorite hero. He is both a lovable, flawed, self-centered, and the most skilled hacker on Earth.
Pieper is actually a bit of an enigma. He is both a hero and a villain. A hero because he is the most skilled in hacking and the most annoying in personality and a villain because he is also the most skilled at hacking but not the most annoying. He is a hero because he is a great friend to everyone he meets. He is a villain because he is a really terrible friend and he is actually really good at hacking.
These heroes and villains are just a bit of a misnomer. We don’t have to choose a side. You can be a hacker without being a hero or a hero without being a hacker. You can be a hacker and a hero and a good friend.
Brendan Morais is a great friend. He is the most talented and skilled hacker to ever exist. In fact, he is the only one to ever have the ability to hack into computer systems without being noticed. His hacking skills are so great that he has the ability to break into a network without anyone knowing. This is one of the greatest feats of hacking that one person has ever achieved. And yet it is a shame that his only friend is a pretty bad friend.
Pieper is Morais’ only friend in the first half of the game. But they are not on the same page with respect to the world they live in. Morais is the “good” hacker who has the hacking skills to get into a network without anyone knowing, while Pieper is the “bad” hacker who is an “evil” hacker who has the hacking skills to break into a network and do whatever Morais will do to him.
It’s not clear at this point if Morais or Pieper are the good or evil hacker in that game, but regardless of their morality Morais and Pieper are still one of the most important characters in the game. Without them, the game would be a lot harder. The bad Hackers are the ones who are supposed to lead the whole story of this game. Morais and Pieper are the ones who make it difficult for them to succeed.
As mentioned earlier, the game is a bit like a time loop. Morais and Pieper are the two hackers who break into the network and attempt to solve one problem at a time. In terms of hacking, it’s a bit more complex than that because Morais and Pieper can’t necessarily just hack into a network without being detected. They need a password, a decryption key, and they can’t just hack into a network without being noticed.
