I am a firm believer that anything that can’t be heard or seen can not be real. Music is one of those things that doesn’t really get high-voltage, but I do believe it can be heard. Music can be enjoyed, and that’s what I want. Sometimes what we hear is the exact opposite of what we want, but we can still enjoy it and feel something.
The same could be said about art and movies, and in particular movie soundtracks. I like to listen to certain kinds of music, like “Black Sabbath”, “Helloween”, or “Crazyhorse”. But when it comes to TV movies or theater shows, I just prefer to avoid it. I don’t even know how to describe my feelings about movies. I guess I just want to be able to enjoy them, but I can also be very critical.
I have a few friends who are very adamant about not “going to the theater” every single time they watch a show. The problem is that they don’t really go to the movies often because they can’t stand the “audience response” to the show. So they just sit around and watch from a movie theater seat, and the only reason they’re not at the movies is because they just can’t stand the audience response.
People who believe that theater response is always better than a movie theater are usually the ones who watch a lot of movies, and they’re the ones who complain about not having time to go to the movies. I would say that it’s only the people who really love movies who have any trouble with this. Movies are not only a way to escape, but it’s also a way to escape into a different world of thinking and feeling.
With movies, you can immerse yourself in a totally different world. For example, in high school I watched a lot of comedies, and I can tell you that I was still pretty self-conscious about my body even though I was a gazillion years older than other people in the group.

They also help to break out of a society of constant self-consciousness because a movie lets you forget about all of the thoughts and feelings that made you self-conscious. They are a way to let the mind play outside of the confines of a day-to-day routine even when youre tired.
I think it is important to give our minds a break from our day-to-day lives. Movies, music, books, podcasts, and a whole lot of other forms of entertainment help us to relax and unwind. But even movies, music, and books can have an effect on our minds. And, of course, they can also have an effect on our brains.
In a strange way, the more we think in a specific way, the stronger that thought will be. And when the brain does something, it tends to repeat that behavior. And then it becomes a habit. So, of course, thoughts and feelings can make us self-conscious. And when we are self-conscious, we tend to do things we regret. This can be a good thing in the short term, but it can also be a bad thing in the long term.
This is where self-awareness takes a big step. You can’t be self-aware when you’re self-conscious. But you can be self-aware when you’re not self-conscious. And, of course, that can be a problem. If you’re not self-aware when you’re not self-conscious, you can’t really do the things you need to do to get rid of self-consciousness.
